The last time we visited Bolsa Grande High School in Garden Grove, we worked with the administration on wall graphics that would transform the administration building. This time, the client invited us to come back and change part of the venue’s athletic program setup with weight room wall graphics in Orange County CA.
Designing, Printing, and Installing Inspirational and Fun Graphics for Student-Athletes
When the Bolsa Grande HS athletic director talked to their counterpart at Santa Ana HS, they learned that Superior Signs and Graphics is well-versed in designing, producing, and installing various weight room and athletics department graphics. These include wall graphics, window treatments, and murals.
Our team visited the weight room, took measurements, and discussed the look of the graphics the athletic director wanted to see. With this information in hand, we got to work.
- Custom-designed banners. Using the school’s blue, white, and orange colors, we created a highly noticeable word stripe for the whiteboard wall. It inspires the young athletes to remember “teamwork,” “respect,” and “leadership.”
- Mascot display. Next, we created a full-length stripe featuring a replica of the school’s mascot. It highlights school pride and reminds athletes why they are pushing themselves.
- Giant wall decals. Some wall spaces received upgrades with custom wall decals. They play off the mascot and feature weight-lifting equipment. Step back, and you notice that these wall decals are larger than you might believe.
- Vinyl wall letters. The weight room upgrade would not be possible without the inspiring words of sports greats such as Michael Jordan. We used black letters and orange for the quotation marks. This combination allows the terms to pop while incorporating the overall display with the other wall coverings.
- Assorted wall graphics. We continued the use of the mascot’s mention and the integration of its various style elements. For a “wall of truth,” we used the likeness of the mascot again. This is a powerful combination that encourages focus and the development of determination.
No matter which direction a student faces, there is an inspiring or encouraging message to focus on improving their game.
