The last time we worked with representatives from MDC, our team found a creative way to turn the company’s Nissan pickup truck into a brand-focused addition to the fleet. This time, the client had another Nissan for us as well as a large tow vehicle that needed commercial truck wraps to advertise daily in Buena Park, CA and beyond.
A Large Tow Vehicle Gets the Brand-Building Treatment
The client liked the faux mud splatter that we designed and placed around the wheels of the Nissan. Therefore, technicians also created these graphics for the trucks we worked with for this project. That said, look closely, and you will notice that the tow vehicle has a different wheelbase. Moreover, the trucks had white paint jobs that the client wanted to see changed into black.
Our graphic artist adjusted the specs to fit the tow truck’s measurements. Also, we put together a different splatter pattern that would look realistic on this particular vehicle. The wrap now displays the illusion that the mud was splattered backward from the front tire. It seems natural and embraces the fun-loving attitude that the sellers of sports trailers want to get across.
Now, when the tow vehicle transports the vehicles on an extended flatbed trailer to the company’s Arizona location, the grunge look of the wrap and the brand-focused name and logo display look good, turn heads, and do a fantastic job at advertising the company.
Is a Full Wrap Right for Your Business?
The full wrap has been compared to the Cadillac of mobile marketing treatments for cars. You use the most extensive surface possible to present your branding and marketing information. A full wrap is also a necessity when you want to change the overall color of the vehicle but do not want to go through a complete repainting.
That said, some clients have had excellent success with partial wraps. These typically range from 25% to 75% in vehicle coverage. For these projects, we integrate the vehicle’s base color to underscore your brand story or create the needed contrast that makes your graphics pop. By the way, the percentage does not have to just be a chunk of the truck or van. Instead, we can spread 25% coverage all across the vehicle. This way, we can give the illusion that you received a full wrap – at a fraction of the cost.
Another option is the combination of letters and graphics. Going this route works well when you want to pinpoint a corporate identity and contact information. Some clients also opt for brand differentiation with a menu of services.
