We have had the opportunity to do a lot of work for the Magnolia Elementary School District this year. Examples include the huge mesh fence banners we did for Pyles Elementary and the durable mesh banners for Salk Elementary. The latest project involving school mesh fence banners in Anaheim, CA, took us to 10802 Rustic Lane, where we visited the Esther L. Walter School.
Custom-Designed Mesh Fence Banners Brand the School
It is interesting to note that the PTSA funded the mesh fence banners for this project. We emphasized the qualities that make this location special during the design process. We used terms such as “Safe” and “Respectful,” which are part of a tagline, to underscore the qualities the teachers and administration foster at that location.
The main emphasis is on the Walter logo and its eagle graphic. The client did not need us to take the banner across the entire length of the fence. Instead, the PTSA was looking for a way to introduce the school to the neighborhood and provide some privacy for the children playing on the grass field.
Why Schools Use Signage
In the past, the signs used by schools used to be the building sign, perhaps a monument, and the required signage set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act. However, administrators and districts now recognize that signage is invaluable when connecting with families and communities.
Make an excellent first impression. A primary purpose of signage in school is to present a welcoming appearance. Bright colors, likenesses of the school’s mascot, and a display of honors the school has received make the impression that parents look for.
Present values. The Walter School’s mesh fence banners focus on the values the administration, faculty, and students embrace. It creates the differentiating information that gets community members to buy into the venue’s expectations. Besides that, it also helps parents and caregivers reinforce the values with students.
Provide wayfinding assistance. Fence banners are fantastic for adding arrows to guide visitors to back-to-school nights, parent meetings, or assemblies. On the inside, age-appropriate wayfinding signs help the students find rooms, the cafeteria, and other places around the facility.
What Could Your School Communicate with Additional Signage?
Are you inspired by the latest set of school mesh fence banners in Anaheim, CA, that our technicians made? Are you an administrator for a school? What could you let the community and prospective students know with a budget-friendly signage solution placed where people pass by regularly?
We can also discuss other types of signs. Whether your school could benefit from athletic department signs, a vehicle wrap for the band truck, or an electrical marquee that lets you change messages from your office, we can do it. We work with the specs and color palette you have selected for the school. If the school was recently awarded honors, we recommend adding them to the signage.
