An earlier project sent us to the Fullerton School District to put together signs and window graphics. We used student art for the designs. This time, we returned to install box truck wraps and graphics for schools in Orange County, CA. And, yes, we used student art as the designs!
Commercial Truck 3M Vinyl Wraps for Vehicles That Deliver School Lunches
The district uses four box trucks to deliver lunches each day to its schools. The Nutrition Department had the vision to use student art as a way to connect with children and underscore the importance of healthy food choices. We helped the district set up a contest to design the wraps for the lunch delivery trucks.
We set up a canvas on an online design site. It was the size of the box truck sides. Next, teachers encouraged students to create a design that showcased healthy foods they like to eat at school. Eight winners were chosen. We used each of their designs, enlarged them, and transferred them to 3M vinyl for the trucks. Because two of the selected student designs came from the same school, we made sure to use these designs, one on each side of the box truck visiting their location, so they can both see their artwork.
Commercial Truck Wraps and Graphics with a Message
The Fullerton School District’s Nutrition Department has identified a unique way of reaching students with their healthy eating message. Concurrently, these truck wraps are beautiful ways of reaching out to the local communities and parents.
- Effective advertising. These wrapped box trucks are excellent advertising tools for the district. The designs highlight the district’s value on healthy nutrition, which makes the schools attractive to parents who share this value.
- Creative designs. Student art has an inimitable quality that is difficult to replicate. Sure, our graphic artist would have been happy to work side by side with the Nutrition Department on the design of professional truck wraps. However, selecting creative designs by students creates a sense of ownership for the kids.
- Brand building. The district wants to be known as caring not just about the student learner outcomes but also for the whole child. This includes offering healthy food choices at each of its schools. By advertising the importance of this approach on highly visible box trucks, the Fullerton School District succeeds in presenting another element of its motto, “Great Schools, Successful Kids.”
Our Team Can Assist Your School, District, or Department with Vehicle Wraps

Examples include passenger van wraps for Compton College’s Athletics Department, utility trailer graphics for the San Pedro High School marching band, and a delivery truck vinyl wrap for Orange Lutheran High School.
