The last time we were at Compton College, we put up dimensional aluminum building lettering for the Instructional Building. You may remember that the client already had a set of letters in place but wanted to boost the venue’s visibility from the main parking lot. This latest project involved the Allied Health Building on the Compton College campus. It had no sign, and the client requested brushed aluminum building signs in Los Angeles, CA.
Brushed Black Aluminum Lettering for Three Sides of the Building
The client specified that we would use a similar cast aluminum we had previously worked with. Moreover, the building needed signage on three sides to make it easy for everyone to locate it, even from a distance away. Because of the building’s color, and the fact that we were not trying to match an existing building lettering color, we suggested black brushed aluminum for the cast letters.
The black color contrasts nicely and is easy to make out from a more significant distance. We used our aerial lift van to install all three sets of letters. Our technicians used studs to secure the heavy pieces. It is interesting to note that the letters have an anodized coating to protect them from the elements. The finished product looks stylish and is an ideal wayfinding tool.
Other Reasons for Businesses to Put Building Letters Up
Wayfinding is a significant aspect of adding signage in the form of three-dimensional building lettering or panels. When companies are located in busy areas, it can be challenging to see the address. However, there are other reasons why companies opt for building signs.
- Professionalism. A building sign gives a business an air of professionalism. A professionally designed and installed sign conveys that the company is serious about its image and is committed to providing quality products or services. This helps build customer trust and makes them more likely to do business with the company.
- 24/7 Advertising. Building signs are visible 24/7, even when a business is closed. They continue advertising the business and attracting potential customers even when it is not open. It increases brand awareness and foot traffic.
- Compliance. In some cases, building signs are required by local zoning ordinances or property management contracts. Failure to comply with these regulations can result in fines or other penalties. A well-designed and compliant building sign lets a business avoid these issues.
