Every year, the Vista Chamber of Commerce hosts a strawberry festival, and for the past five years we have been part of this great community event. Recently, the Vista Chamber of Commerce asked us to create custom vinyl banners for the Vista Strawberry 5000 Run, to mark the starting line and the finish line.
Banner for Strawberry Run & Festival
The Vista Strawberry 5000 Run has a 10km race, a 5km race, and kids’ races, all of which are a big hit with residents and visitors. It’s a fun event for the whole family, and it really shows off the beauty and charm of Vista. Runners trek through historic downtown Vista and the town’s kite sculpture, and end their run at the strawberry festival itself. There’s no better way to get exercise and enjoy Vista at the same time.
Knowing how well-run this event is, we were proud to play a part in making it happen. Our quick turnaround meant that organizers were able to go from the first consultation with us to completed custom vinyl banners with plenty of time to spare, always important when setting up a special event. We created two large, custom vinyl banners, sized 3’ by 12’. We chose 13oz weight matte vinyl to make sure that the banners hung well outdoors, and constructed them with grommets every four inches for stability. The result was a set of banners that helped organizers and racers with way-finding, while adding style and function to the festival.
When we create custom vinyl banners, as we did for the Vista Chamber of Commerce, we put a strong focus on how the banner will be used. In this case, we knew the banners were hanging outside, so we created them to be durable and stand up to any elements racers might encounter. Marking the start and finish of the race is not something on which organizers could compromise, and we fulfilled that need for signage quickly and effectively. It’s no wonder we’ve been making banners for this event for years.
