Carlsbad, CA – Full Color Vinyl Banner Sign for High School
Who can remember looking back on games from our youth and seeing all the vinyl banners lining the field? Some were advertisements, others inspirational messages to those in the game as well as those of us who filled the seats. So it was no surprise when La Costa Canyon High School in Carlsbad wanted to inspire its current and future athletes with an inspirational vinyl banner. They wanted to remind every person that stood on that field what is possible if they stuck with their hard work on and off the field.
Large Vinyl School Banner
There was a very well-known student athlete named Mickey Moniak. Mickey attended La Costa Canyon High School, hitting .461 with two home runs and 27 runs batted in as a sophomore, and .426 with a 1.062 on base plus slugging as a junior. In his senior year, he batted .476 with seven home runs and 46 runs batted in. Mickey is a legend to La Costa Canyon, and the Administration called us to request a full color banner with his achievements highlighted where all could be inspired to reach for their dreams, too.
High School Field Banner
With many years in the design and print industry, we wanted to make sure this banner would last and be able to withstand years of weather and sun, so we chose a heavy duty 13 oz quality vinyl that would withstand the endure the elements while inspiring generations of students. Mickey’s photo now resides on a large vinyl banner hung in the outfield, sizing it at eight feet by 20 feet. Knowing that the Moniak banner was going to be strung up on the right field power alley fence, we reinforced webbing in the hems, and grommets spaced 12 inches apart on the center. Using a high res professional photo from Moniak’s high school baseball days, and created a design that would show current students and the community what La Costa Canyon has to offer its students and athletes.
