Custom Illuminated Lightbox
When you think of an arcade, what do you think of? Lights, video games and fun! That’s what we were thinking when HB Leisure came to us and asked us to fabricate an exterior building sign and an interior lightbox sign for a new arcade they were opening up at the Legoland Hotel.
HB Leisure (HBL) is the world’s leading attraction partner for skill games and amusements across the globe. They were ready to open a new arcade in the Legoland Hotel and quickly needed two illuminated lightbox signs before the big opening. Because we specialize in signage of all kinds, we were able to put together a proof for them and get their illuminated signs into production right away.
Illuminated Building Sign
First we started on the exterior sign. Knowing this sign would be outdoors, we wanted to make sure we used materials that could withstand the elements. Equally important to us was to find the right materials that would stay within our client’s budget. We ended up choosing a vinyl with a UV laminate that we then mounted onto 3mm aluminum Dibond. Dibond is a high-quality aluminum composite designed exclusively for the sign market. Our Production Team then mounted the sign with six black stand-offs with 3/4″ round heads. Our installers used ladders and mounted it above the awning over the entry door of the arcade.
Our next project was the sign going on the inside of the arcade. We created an illuminated custom lightbox. On the front of this lightbox were full-color graphics printed on fabric. The final size came to 54″ wide by 16″ high and 3″ deep. Our installers then mounted the lightbox flush to the ceiling for a show stopping entrance into the arcade. Our Design Team did a great job on making these signs fun and compliment the look and feel inside the Legoland Hotel. We also have great installers that not only bring all the necessary equipment to install these signs, but do all the exterior and interior work to prepare for them, which includes removing of all signage, running electrical wires, setting up dedicated circuits, safely securing all pieces and make sure all the final touches are cleaned up and looking good!
