Carlsbad, CA – Storefront Illuminated Channel Sign for Investment Company
One of the big-name financial companies in Carlsbad, Edward Jones, is expanding with local offices. One of their offices was a branch in a new construction shopping mall in Carlsbad. Their headquarters in Chicago got in touch with us to help them with their signage. We had worked in that mall before and we understood the sign program, knew the landlord and permit process, and perhaps most importantly, understood how important it was to get the branding right for this large business. So we set off to design and present them with an Illuminated Channel Sign using LED’s that would make their sign shine!

The first step was to complete a comprehensive site survey including photos and measurements, which we used to create the design for client approval, then landlord approval. Having keen attention to detail was key for this project. Next we submitted the documents to the City of Carlsbad and secured the sign permit. We included everything in our quote from document plans to color copy sets, to applications with the planning and building departments, and follow it through to completion for this beautiful channel letter signage project.
LED Exterior Building Sign
As we know, Edward Jones offers the best class service to its clients. They are a well known financial company because of their carefully cultivated relationships and partnerships with customers, making a lifelong impact on their lives. The Edward Jones name is important, and creating a beautiful sign was important to us.
We wanted to make the Edward Jones name highly visible in the mall shopping center. Per the shopping center’s signage criteria, we created the channel letter signage from UL certified LEDs and a quality LED supply of 100W. The installation included spacers between the letters and the exterior wall which set the Edward Jones branch apart from other stores in the same shopping center.
In creating the reverse pan channel letters, the serifs were intricate in the ‘Edward’ so our team crafted meticulously. Our team of expert designers and sign manufacturers re-created the logo with perfection, selecting a two-inch return depth and an all-white finish for all of the letters. The final result was the Edward Jones sign turned out professional, eye-catching, and in line with the Edward Jones brand consistency.
