Do you have a blank wall or other empty space in your offices that you would like to utilize?
Take a look at the pictures in this article.
This is a custom collage that we designed and installed for Arcturus, a therapeutics company located in San Diego, California. We have worked with them in the past on various different projects, including a lobby sign, as well as other corporate signage like nameplates and frosted privacy window graphics for their offices.
This is the most recent project that we have done for them. As you can see in the pictures, this custom collage features various different photo prints surrounding the message that they want to project to their employees and customers.
“Building Life.”
This statement, along with the photo prints, sums up the image that they are trying to project and that represents their values and the message that they want to promote.
To make this sign, we first did some research and found various high resolution photos that we purchased from a royalty-free photo sharing website. There is an elderly couple, a bicyclist, a girl on a surfboard, a couple walking on the beach, a girl with bubbles, another girl in bed, a hiker outdoors and a couple on a bicycle. The photos range in various sizes from about 10” x 8” up to around 18” x 12”. Together, they form a very impressive and attractive collage that fills the empty wall space very well.
In terms of materials, we used Giclee prints, which are a clay on metal material. This two-tone material enables a great look that shows the matte finish of the canvas against the glossy finish of the metal. The canvas was printed on our high resolution large-format HP latex 360 printer. A latex printer is much more environmentally friendly than other solvent-based substances. Latex is water-based, which means it won’t give off fumes like a solvent does.
To make the “Building Life” letters we used ¼ inch thick gray acrylic material, which was brushed with an aluminum laminate. These letters are each about 6 inches high, and were flush mounted directly to the wall. We used a template and mounting tape to make sure that we have the proper alignment and spacing, as we do when installing many of our signs.
When it comes to building a great-looking collage or wall mural like this one, a lot of time goes into the design phase. We have years of expertise building all types of wall murals and collages, in order to utilize empty wall space and help brand open spaces – whether for a small business or in a corporate office.
There are a multitude of different sign products to choose from, so if you have any questions, we would be more than happy to sit down with you and help you explore all of your options.
