Do you own a hotel, motel or bed-and-breakfast?

Do you own any other kind of business that deals directly with the public?

Does your business have all of the necessary signage to be ADA compliant?

When it comes to ADA compliance, you don’t want to mess with the government. Businesses which are not ADA compliant can get fined up to $50,000 or more in some cases. If you aren’t sure if your business is ADA compliant, the best thing to do is get a professional sign company that deals with ADA sign compliance to inspect your building, offices and other facilities.

What is ADA compliance?

ADA, which stands for Americans with Disabilities Act, is a law that was passed in order to help protect the rights of handicapped and disabled people in public.  These are there to aid and assist disabled people as outlined in the act. ADA compliant is the term used to refer to a business that meets or doesn’t meet the standards set forth by the Americans with Disabilities Act.

What are ADA signs?

ADA signs are everything from wheelchair signs, to handicap parking signs, to bathroom signs and more. Any sign that features braille is an ADA sign as well. Braille signs are usually seelibrarysign_west_lon everywhere from public bathrooms, to airports, to ATM machines, and help blind people navigate the public domain.

West Inns & Suites

West Inns & Suites is an upscale hotel located in Carlsbad California.  Recently, we received a call from them because they needed some ADA signs made.  We have worked with them many times in the past, so for this project it was just a matter of touching base and figuring out what they needed this time. It turned out they needed a warning sign and another sign to notify people of where the library and breakfast room are located.

They have many other signs throughout the hotel that mark various locations, so they really only needed two additional signs to match the others. The only problem was that we did not make the original signs, and so we had to match the new ones to the existing ones.  In the end it wasn’t that big of a deal because the results were great and the signs match perfectly, making West Inns & Suites very happy with how everything turned out.
