University of California, Berkeley law school graduates Melissa Centeno and Lomel Sharo started practicing law as husband and wife partners in Centeno & Sharo, business law firm. Melissa approached Exemplar Signs & Graphics with a need for business identification in the building where their offices are located. Up to that point all they had for business identity was their business cards. They played with their surnames to arrive at “Centaro” and came up with the image of a centaur archer. Many businesses don’t have the luxury of a marketing department with captive graphic artists and Centeno & Sharo is in that group. Fortunately for Melissa and Lomel we were able to create vector artwork from Melissa’s business card to product a crisp and infinitely scalable logo graphic. Centeno & Sharo realized the need to control their branding and gladly paid for the graphics design time to take ownership of the design files.
We used this newly created artwork to deliver their first need, which was to identify their office suite in their building with window graphics. Here is the result of that first use of the newly vectorized logo graphic and next to it, the two legal partners enjoying their new window graphics.
After several weeks they heard clients mentioning that their building was easy to drive by since there was nothing identifying their presence from the street. There is a plaza pole sign on the property, but the landlords were indecisive about their plans for the property. Finally, Melissa argued her case and won permission to proceed with updating the plaza sign with the Centeno & Sharo business identity. In just days, Exemplar Signs & Graphics had new panels with fresh identifying graphics installed. Here is the before and after:
Centeno & Sharo is very happy to finally have their identity publicly declared at their location. Now their clients will easily find Centeno & Sharo’s building and offices. A win-win for all parties.
