Creative Caregiver Training just moved into a new suite right up the street from us. Based off of a recommendation, they gave us a call because they needed to replace the sign faces in the existing cabinet signs on the storefront. They are located off of Topanga Canyon Blvd. in Chatsworth, California, a very busy street so they wanted to make sure that their signs would be eye-catching. Creative Caregiver Training is a great organization that provides proper training to caregivers who are assisting the elderly. They do great work for the community and we were more than happy to help them with their new signage.
They purchased two new sign faces from us as they were taking over two suites and each one had its own cabinet sign. They already knew what they wanted on their signs and our sign consultant worked with them to decide on font and colors. They also wanted to include a graphic of a flower but they did not have artwork for what they wanted. To give us a better idea of what they wanted, the owner drew a flower with different colored petals and sent us a photo of the drawing. Our designer then created the flower as a vector art file that we could digitally print onto translucent vinyl for the faces. We use translucent vinyl because the signs are internally illuminated and we want the faces to light up at night time.
We try to use cut vinyl instead of digital print when we can due to the longer lifespan of pre-colored viny, however, this artwork had many different colors involved so we found that it would be more efficient to digitally print the artwork. As you can see from the photos, the first letter of every word on the larger sign face is a different color, and the flower on the smaller sign face has a different color for each petal.
