A logo sign is a great addition to your interior decor. There are many different interior layouts which can vary depending on what type of business you are. For example, a dentist office may have a waiting room where they will want to put up a lobby sign. Other businesses may have a reception area and it is very common to have a logo sign installed above the reception desk. We have also installed logo signs on desks, above doorways, and on doors so there are many different placement options depending on how your business is laid out.
Diamond Game is an entertainment company whose headquarters are located in Chatsworth, California. They have a curved wall in the middle of the office that they had a logo sign on. They were updating their logo so they reached out to us for a new lobby sign with their new logo. We made them an acrylic dimensional letter sign with aluminum laminate. Acrylic is more cost efficient compared to aluminum, but we can add an aluminum laminate to acrylic to give the letters a metal look without the metal cost.
We used clear acrylic as a base and applied brushed aluminum laminate on the back of the letters. The reason we put it on the back instead of on the face is because you would be able to see the VHB used for mounting the letters through the clear acrylic. Since the acrylic is clear, you can still see the metal while hiding the VHB.
We were originally planning on installing the letters with studs due to the way the wall was curved, but we decided to install with VHB instead. We usually put VHB on different parts of the back of the letters, but due to the curved wall, the entire back of the letter was not going to be touching the wall so we only applied VHB to the center of the letters. This created a clean installation and as you can see from the photos, you cannot see the VHB from the side.
