A couple years back, we did a few exterior signs for JB Wholesale Roofing and Building Supply which included a building sign, parking signs, and a banner. JB Wholesale Roofing and Building Supply is an established, family-owned retailer that produces a variety of roofing and building supplies. They have almost a dozen locations, one of which happens to be right around the corner from us in Chatsworth, California. Coincidentally, this location was also the first one. They reached out to us earlier this year because they wanted to get the exterior banner redone.
A banner is a pretty affordable way to display information. There are cheaper banners you can get for temporary purposes, like a “Coming Soon” banner that will be taken down after the business opens. The banner we made for JB Wholesale Roofing is meant to be displayed 24/7, so it’s very durable. We used 13 oz vinyl banner material and we reinforced the hems with webbing.
The information that goes on a banner is printed, so you can virtually have anything on a banner. You just want to make sure that the information is easy to read regarding color and font, and you don’t want to have too much information as it’ll be hard to read all of it. Most people are seeing this banner as they’re driving by, so they don’t have a lot of time to read the banner.
Many different types of businesses can benefit from a banner. If you’re opening a new business but your storefront sign hasn’t been finished yet, you can get a “Coming Soon” banner. If you just opened a new business, you can let the public know that you’re open for business with a “Grand Opening” banner. You can also advertise seasonal promotions or sales. There are many different types of banners that you can make that will benefit your unique business.
