Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) signs are required for new and renovated public buildings. We are a custom sign company that designs, manufactures, and installs ADA signs for many types of buildings including apartment complexes, schools, hospitals, office buildings, and more. The benefit of using a custom sign company as opposed to buying premade signs is that we can make signs that are personalized for your business. We can include logos, use school or logo colors, or simply use a color and style that suits the design of your building. We recently worked with Westside Contractors to complete a building sign project for Reeves Place, an apartment complex in the Pico-Robertson neighborhood of Los Angeles. You can follow the links to our website to learn about the doorbell panels and exterior signage we also did for the building.
As you can see, a common theme with the signs we’ve made for Reeves Place is the color scheme. We made sure that all of the signage that can have custom colors follows the color scheme of bronze brass. When you think of ADA signs you may immediately think of the standard blue signs with white copy. It is a common misconception that all ADA signs need to follow that color scheme when in reality, you can customize the colors of some your ADA signs as long as the copy contrasts with the backer panel of the sign and the signs are made from non-glare material. We can even work with you to include your logo or other design details. As you can see, evacuation map signs, gate signs, exit signs, and stair identification signs are bronze and brass. However, the fire exit sign and the fire department connection sign are red and white. There are some signs that need to be read very clearly and easily during an emergency that need to be a specific color. However, other signage such as room identifications signs and unit number signs are customizable.
The signs we made this project include unit number signs, room identification signs, evacuation maps, exit signs, stairwell identification signs, floor identification signs, stair identification signs, floor directional signs, maximum occupany signs, gate signs, restroom signs, ISA symbol signs, prop 65 signs, FDC connection signs, bang bars, and parking signs.
