We made three sets of compound channel letter signs for MS Aerospace, one for the main entrance, an identical one for the monument sign, and a matching one for the address numbers. To match their logo, we digitally printed the gradient onto translucent vinyl and laid it on the white acrylic faces of the channel letters. These are compound channel letters so there is light coming out from both the front and the back. The light from the front will be blue because of the vinyl, and the light from the back will be white because we used white LEDs. Depending on how you want your sign to look, we can also add colored LEDs. Standard LED colors include white, red, and blue, but you can also upgrade to custom LEDs if you want a specific color.
For the face of the channel letters, we always use translucent acrylic and translucent vinyl. Otherwise, the LEDs will not shine through properly. For the back lighting, the channel letters are installed spaced off of the wall so there is room for the LEDs to shine back onto the wall. We use the same method for reverse-lit channel letters, and if a sign is just front-lit, they can be installed directly onto the wall.
