The San Ysidro Land Port of Entry in San Ysidro CA, is a busy place. Just recently, it underwent a design upgrade along with an update in its signage. To commemorate these developments, the Port Authority commissioned our sign shop to create “Thank You” walls in San Diego County.
Flatbed-Printed Black Subsurface Glass Panels Add Pizzazz to a Focal Wall
The client selected a focal wall that would feature four separate panels for the dedication wall. The choice of glass is ideally suited for the venue that receives plenty of natural light. Moreover, we beveled the glass and polished its edges for added chic.
The panels themselves measure three-eighths-of-an-inch in depth. This is the sweet spot for combining durability with a lightweight design that makes the boards well-suited for installation with one-and-one-half-inch standoffs. Right above the panels, we added flat-cut letters that spell out the occasion for the dedication wall.
Should You Add a Dedication Wall? Yes! Here is Why
“Thank You” walls in San Diego County create an engagement with the community. It introduces corporate entities that contributed to the building of a venue. In another setting, it might reveal donors who made a cause possible. Therefore, all who were involved in the success of a locale receive recognition.
However, it goes further than that. Dedication walls root your business or organization in the community you serve. They outline that the community invested in your venue. Therefore, it gives people a sense of ownership and pride. Most importantly, it can make your organization or firm more approachable.
You could go with glass, but you most certainly have other options open to you. For example, there are etched aluminum plaques that combine the great looks of metal with the durability that this material brings to the table. If you love the look of glass but prefer a matte surface, we recommend acrylic that easily mimics the stylish nature of glass.
