If you have been following our blog, you know that All Star Signs specializes in designing, fabricating, and installing large outdoor signs for businesses, facade-sized metal business signs, and various other weatherproof outdoor signs. However, today, we want to discuss blade signs as one of the most overlooked types of exterior building signage.
Exterior Building Signs That Engage Passersby
Blade signs are traditionally smaller than typical outdoor building signs for businesses. Moreover, they sometimes look different from the official building sign. Instead, these signs could be used to draw attention to amenities at the location. Another good use for the blade sign is to mark a side or rear entrance to a facility. You do not need a complete building sign; however, you still want to assist prospective customers with wayfinding.
Metal Business Signs We Can Illuminate
Blade signs are among the types of exterior building signage we make using metal. The majority of signage solutions feature aluminum, but we can, of course, also upgrade to stainless steel or any other type of metal that you prefer. Some clients have asked us to turn their blade signs into lighted signs that stand out after dark. We can do so by constructing the product like a lightbox cabinet. But instead of mounting it flush to the facade, we install it perpendicularly. The wiring will be inside the bracket holding it.
Bracket Mounts are Frequently Customized
There are indeed plenty of factory-made products we can use to install a blade sign. Occasionally, a location setup requires us to custom-make a product for a site. A good example is a square tube bracket we recently used to mount a smaller blade sign to an overhanging awning. It guides visitors to the location to an amenity they might have yet to notice just driving by.
Could a Blade Sign Equal More Foot Traffic?
You already have a building sign. What would happen if you added a blade sign? If you engage the consumer walking down the sidewalk from either direction, you might be able to encourage the impulse stop that frequently results in a buy. Having two signs complementing one another is an excellent tool for boosting your company’s visibility. Talk to our graphic artist to determine what type of blade would be right for you.
