You cannot go wrong with acrylic donor plaques when you want to honor donors but also want signage that has a unique contemporary look and feel. They look like much more fragile glass but only cost a fraction and do not break as easily.

Acrylic Donor Plaques for Modern VenuesTake a look at a recent project we undertook. A church hired us to design, produce, and install donation letters and plaques in the vestibule. These signs would honor donors that had contributed to a new building’s fund. It is fair to say that these signs combine dedication and donation signage.

Acrylic. We used green glass acrylic, a specialized product mimicking plate glass perfectly.

Bull-nosed-edges. We polished the edges and created a bull-nosed look. It softens the shape and makes handling the panels safer. Besides that, we drilled holes for the installation.

Subsurface print. To maintain the illusion of a pristine glass surface, we printed the information on the back of the acrylic panels. Not only does it focus attention on the polished surface, but it also adds depth to the overall design.

Standoff mount. The final step for the acrylic donor plaques was the installation. We used anodized graphite standoffs measuring 1.5 inches by 2 inches, which we passed through the pre-drilled holes.

A secondary dedication sign consists of 3D letters. We used black acrylic for this project. Moreover, it features the same depth. However, we painted this material with a bronze finish to create a traditional visual counterpoint. While the acrylic plaques are contemporary, the metallic finish has a historical quality. Our installer mounted the letters with pins, which helps underscore the display’s depth.
