Our shop specializes in designing, producing, and installing front and halo-lit channel letters. However, it is a common misconception that our clients always have all the necessary specs ready to go. In fact, our graphic artist routinely assists companies with a first-time channel letter design in San Diego County. What options do you have?
Choose Face, Reverse-Lit, or Combined Channel Letters
The first option to consider is whether you want the light to escape through the front or the back. Both letter designs are weatherproof, have high-impact faces, and illuminate with bright LEDs. If you decide you want a combination, we can accommodate your design with a second set of LEDs that are placed explicitly for the creation of a halo.
Pick a Color
Most clients choose their corporate color palette when specifying the hues of the fronts. Some decide instead to feature white letters for boosted visibility. It could be a great option if your brand message relies on color only secondarily. There is still another consideration; would you like to feature colorful LEDs? They can underscore a brand color. Besides that, they are excellent for displaying a two-toned sign with a halo that differs in color from the facings.
Select an Installation Method
How would you like to mount the channel letters? For a halo effect, we need to use standoffs. We assist you with selecting the strength of the halo by adjusting the length of the actual standoffs. Front-lit channel letters could be mounted flush to the wall or with standoffs.
If there are limitations in play, choose a raceway or panel mount. Both choices eliminate the need to install the letters directly on the building’s facade. We assist with the design of the panel, too. For example, some clients opt to have it resemble a logo or a niche-specific image.
