HBK, a branch of the HBKS firm, recently moved their office building to a new location in Warrendale. We had the pleasure of working with two individual partners of the firm to
create new signage before their move. With an entirely new building, HBK needed a new exterior building sign, lobby sign, and many other interior signs and graphics.
In the images throughout this article, you’ll see the completed exterior LED-illuminated channel letter sign, which showcases the HBK logo and brand colors on the top front of the building. Also included are a variety of interior signs that ties the HBK brand throughout the office space. Examples include lobby signs, wall graphics exhibiting quotes, interior window graphics creating a privacy film, nameplates and required ADA (e.g. bathroom, handicap, electrical closet, etc.) signs.
HBK is a multidisciplinary financial services firm that offers hundreds of professionals dedicated to delivering exceptional client service. They offer a wide range of tax, 
accounting, audit, business advisory, valuation, financial planning, wealth management, and support services over 16 offices in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, and Florida. Our project was centered around the Pittsburgh office.
To ensure the best quality for our clients at HBK, we met with two of the firm’s partners months in advance of the move to understand exactly what they needed. In the early stages, we shared examples of sign types and materials and eventually mock-ups of the signs. With regard to the exterior building sign, we contacted the local township and went through the permitting process to secure a sign permit for installation. With the privacy film/graphics, for example, we applied samples to their office windows so that the client could see the exact effect and dimensions on the windows before making a choice.
After the fabrication of the signs was complete, the first part of our installation began with the exterior of the building. We made custom channel letters to fit their branded colors and were careful to follow township code in terms of how much light could be emitted from the sign faces. The overall sign measured three feet tall and 12 feet wide. The finished product is a beautifully illuminated sign that promotes HBK to their clients and prospects alike.
The second half of the installation lasted several days while we installed a variety of interior signs. This included wall graphics of their logo and various quotes that we printed and then applied to specific walls within the new office. To provide privacy and a branding element, we created privacy films that ran mid-way up the large glass windows adjacent to offices, and signs to identify the name of each room. We then filled the halls with various custom nameplates, conference room and workstation signs, and ADA signage.
