One of the nation’s oldest regional indicators and journalistic reporters, Pittsburgh Today, contacted us to create eight vinyl wall murals from their infographic designs. The murals would adorn the terminal gate walls and the overhead concrete panels in the central shopping plaza of the Pittsburgh 
International Airport.

At Pittsburgh Today, their mission is to provide reliable information to the region’s citizens that they can understand where we stand in society and use the knowledge to determine where growth is needed. Comparing the region to other areas of the country allows people to see how we measure up, where we are strong, and where we are weak. All the information they provide gives their readers a starting point to measure progress and view our growth. They have multiple published works that provide a range of topics that strive to offer context and insight whenever possible.
Pittsburgh Today relied on our expertise to showcase their most recent project. They approached us with designs of their infographics for the Pittsburgh airport. We worked closely with the designers to determine dimensions and vinyl materials best suited for this campaign. After testing some of our vinyl materials we chose the 3M Envision Vinyl and its corresponding laminate for the overhead concrete walls of the shopping plaza and the 3M Controltac Vinyl for the terminal walls. These materials in their respective locations provided the best adhesion and durability. After printing, we were able to begin the installation. To provide the strongest adhesion we wiped the walls with rubbing alcohol and applied the murals with heat. The final project was comprised of four 9’X14’ murals in the terminal gates and four 4’X33’ murals on the overhead concrete in the central airport mall.
Our client appreciated us working so closely with their designers and providing so much communication throughout the installation process. They were extremely pleased with the finished products and our professionalism throughout the entire project.
