YouthPlaces, a non-profit afterschool program, designed new signage for its North Shore headquarters and asked our team to produce and install the signs. We created a new outdoor sign, logo for the main door, a lobby sign, banner, and room markers.

The non-profit organization provides a safe place to learn, grow, play and succeed. YouthPlaces develops the skills of the youth in the community and increases their opportunity for success. They focus their efforts on under-served children in high-risk communities where few other agencies operate. YouthPlaces now operates through 17 sites and serves over 4,000 youth every year.
We worked with a talented designer who provided the artwork, and from there, we printed and installed the new signage. To begin the project, we met with the client and carefully measured each area. The artwork utilized a color palette that ensured YouthPlaces would stand out. For the main exterior sign, we used hardware to attach the sign to the cast iron fence at the campus entrance. We then moved to the main 
door and applied the YouthPlaces logo. The entryway, or lobby, needed directional signage so we used the same colorful logo and background and added wayfinding arrows and floor numbers to aid those visiting the building. Next, we applied a 30”X30” vinyl banner to the area on the 2nd floor that YouthPlaces occupies. Lastly, we hung two 9”X12” room markers for a student lounge and for the newly named “Bernarding Learning Center,”. Each was made of clear acrylic with printed graphics and attached with brilliant silver standoffs. We also printed eight extra banners for YouthPlaces to place at each of its other sites throughout the city.
