Recently, we worked with GRIT Athletix, a local sports and recreation venue in Pittsburgh, to install a new building sign and interior glass graphics at their facility. Our client renovated an existing building into a beautiful athletic center and a key ingredient to a grand opening was a feature sign on the exterior wall above the entrance.
The photos show the installed exterior sign that bears the new GRIT Athletix brand. Also included are photos of the window graphics installed on the glass doors to the open gym.
GRIT Athletix is a comprehensive 45,000 square-foot fitness facility for active individuals in the Pittsburgh area, with the primary focus at this time being basketball and volleyball.
Our client needed exterior identification for the new facility as well as branding inside the building. We met onsite to take measurements and to clearly discuss their vision for the new signage. Then, we shared multiple sign versions over time until we landed on the final exterior sign and interior window graphics.
Once approved, we fabricated the exterior wall sign and graphics for installation. We constructed 32” tall white letters for a 17’ wide space while using a 1” thick outdoor PVC and stud-mounted them off the building using ½” spacers. We also applied graphics to the entrance doors that included GRIT’s website, phone number, and motivational message, “GRIT, GRIND, BODY, MIND.” For the interior graphics, we produced a 41”X24” red PVC “G” for the reception desk. We then created vinyl lettering for the entrance to the main gymnasium that included “G” logos and important rules for that particular area.
