What’s the best way to promote your latest high profit margin product, advertise a special sale or just remind your current clients of the different services your business provides? There are many options when it comes to marketing but you just can’t beat utilizing signage to get your message out to the masses.

Legacy Ford needed to do just that with their latest promotion. They were offering special financing for their previous year’s F-150’s. It was time to move their current inventory to free some room for the latest models of the year and they wanted us to create a large sign to market to the traffic that drove by them each day. This wasn’t a cut and dry job though. Read on to see how we overcame the challenges presented to us from design to installation.

Our client wanted a 10’x40’ banner highlighting their finance promotion. The design needed to integrate their dealership branding and also express their message as bold as possible. Even though we had plenty space to work with, we didn’t want to overcrowd the banner with unnecessary text or images. We concentrated on the core message, chose a bold, easily read font and expressed it as large as allowed. We added the branding colors within the design so that they complimented each other and had a dynamic end result.

Since their dealership location is alongside the Southwest freeway in Rosenberg, we chose UltraFlex Mesh banner material as it is an ideal choice for high wind areas. They have an ideal location for their business visibility, but not for hanging a 40 ft. banner! Additionally, we intended to cut some relief strips in the material for added insurance.

Since we didn’t have the capability to do the large format printing in house, we utilized one of our strategic partners. Sometimes it takes reaching outside of your own capacity to solve the client’s needs even if it means a decreased profit. We have a large extended family of vendor partners so that we can offer our clients the top notch products and services they need.

The installation setup was the next challenge to overcome. They needed a new display to house the many large banners that rotate in and out during the year. We chose eye bolts and heavy gauge wire that would allow the banner to stretch between two existing metal posts. We allowed for the grommet holes to be about 24’ apart around the entire perimeter. We added specialty clips to pass through the grommets and attach directly to the wires on the top and bottom. For the sides, we chose flexible tension straps that could be tightened and keep the banner taut.

Legacy Ford was thrilled with the result and our ability to conquer the challenges we encountered. Here’s what our client had to say:

“Great service every time. Jim and Crew get the job done !!!”
