Located on Franz Rd. in Katy, TX., Fun Stuff Comics and Cards is a shop where customers can buy and sell comics, games, cards, movies, and much more. They also have a great lounge area where people can come in and play various tabletop games as well. Owner Randall Patty is extremely knowledgeable about his market. He puts customer service at the top of the list and it shows! He also runs a regular podcast, where he discusses various pop culture-related topics from an experienced perspective as a collector and critic. It’s easy to see the grand potential for his well-loved shop.
We created a sign package that would best fit Randall’s needs and branding for the storefront. First was a set of channel letters with the business name above the entrance. Next was showcasing the large window area with vinyl lettering and logo for their glass door, in a bold fuschia. We also provided them with big, white vinyl lettering for the top of their windows as another addition to catch the attention of the shop.
Installing the white window decals was a bit of a challenge from a safety and aesthetic perspective. Not only did the decals need to be centered between each windows width but also measured accurately for consistent placement from the top of each window and across all windows. This took measuring accurately and consistently while heading up and down the ladder between each window. We also had to contend with an unsafe dip in the concrete leading to the wheelchair accessible ramp. We got them laid quickly and accurately by teaming together. By having one team member spotting the other, while the other one would lay down the decal at the top of the ladder, ensured they would not fall or hurt themself. Safety and accuracy is of the most importance to us.
