Peninsula Healthcare, recently acquired Heritage Village in Platte City, Mo, and is a repeat customer of Prairie Fire Signs & Graphics. They own several healthcare facilities across the United States. When they needed a new outdoor sign for their newest facility, Heritage Village, Legend Healthcare knew exactly who to turn to. Through previous experiences with our detailed consultative processes they were ensured that we would leave no stone unturned.
First, to comply with the city’s permitting requirements, it was necessary for us to re-engineer the original pole sign design into a monument-style sign. This was accomplished by adding two rows of faux stone panels that were 8”x 36” to create a sleek, yet durable face to the pole sign to meet Platte City’s code inspector’s guidelines. Next, we constructed a 4’x8’ sign with 3M gloss vinyl and gloss laminate to ensure that the sign would last for years to come, due to our drastically varying climate; we have hot and humid summers, icy & cold winters, and everything in-between! Lamination of vinyl is an important step that is often overlooked at other sign shops. We believe in supporting the longevity of your sign through our quality work and eye to detail. We then utilized 3mm aluminum on pressure treated lumber to ensure resistance to the various weather factors. Lastly, it was necessary to prime, paint and wrap the support poles in PVC in order to prevent wood rot and any potential damage from landscaping. Solar powered LED lights were utilized on the sign, in order to provide an environmentally conscious way of lighting the sign at night, for improved visibility.
