Lobby signs come in all shapes and sizes, materials, styles and designs. They do have something in common – they create a unique impression on your prospect or customer. While they wait for an appointment they have plenty of time to notice their surroundings…the lobby. Customers first impression is important. Because I am the owner of Signs PDQ I probably notice more about lobby signage than the average person. Laser cut acrylic, gatorfoam, molded plastic, vinyl lettering and graphics applied directly to the wall, pvc or acrylic with standoffs are just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to signage found in lobbies. What the average person notices subliminally sets the tone for the future relationship between customer and client. This sets the stage for the appointment or meeting. Make the first impression a good one with a sign that is a reflection of your business.
Signs PDQ will be certain that your message is clear. Presenting your logo exactly as it was designed is key. Using exact color matches to what is on your printed materials is vital to this signage. Check out signage, picture to the left, manufactured from a conture cut digital print applied directly to the wall of the lobby of the Marine Recruiting Office in Cleveland, Ohio. This logo matches the specific pms (pantone matching system) color specified by the United States Marine Corps.
To the right is a picture that is located on an adjacent wall of this particular Marine Recruiting Office. This design was predetermined when accent lighting was hung. The font portrays a feeling of strength and determination that is one in the same with the Marine’s mantra. These 18″ letters in this specific blue color make a statement to all who enter this office. Imagine what this word would look like if it were half its size and in a script font! The image would be completely different.
This project is a great example of how lobby signs “set the stage” and create an atmosphere conducive to your goals.
