Updated Design on CMHA Police Vehicles<\/p><\/div>\n

When it comes to graphics on police vehicles Cleveland Metropolitan Housing Authority (CMHA) in Cleveland \u00a0heads to Signs PDQ of Willoughby, OH.<\/p>\n

Several years ago CMHA purchased several Dodge Chargers. \u00a0This inspired the police department to inquire about a new design. Our graphic artist, who specializes in vehicles, \u00a0composed several designs for the Police Chief. \u00a0He carefully looked at the designs and chose segments of each one that he liked. \u00a0Combing and revising these designs was the next step toward design approval.<\/p>\n

Preparing The Vinyl\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The next step was to contour cut the various colors of premium vinyl followed by adding transfer tape. \u00a0Then transfer tape is needed to apply the vinyl to the vehicle. \u00a0Once the vinyl is prepared the next step is to “place” the vinyl on the vehicle to insure that it is in the correct place. \u00a0Squeegee the vinyl to the vehicle and remove the transfer tape….voila the vehicle is on it’s way to completion.<\/p>\n

Why It’s Important To Have a consistent Design On Your Vehicles.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Branding vehicles to match your logo and business message is important. \u00a0The vehicle should quickly be identified by those drivers and pedestrians passing by. \u00a0The design of the vehicle is the key to branding.<\/p>\n

This idea of your vehicle becoming a moving billboard is the reason for this process. \u00a0Check out the photos of the completed CMHA vehicle. \u00a0There are typically very few words involved. \u00a0While the word “POLICE” is mandatory, more text is needed. The city or community, in this case CMHA, emergency phone number, and vehicle number are all needed. \u00a0 All vehicles will look alike. \u00a0As the CMHA Police Dept. adds vehicles they will also have the exact same design applied to it. A key to the design of these police vehicles goes hand and hand with \u00a0the saying, “Less is more!”<\/p>\n
