You will be able to have opportunities to improve the vision, goals and plans for your business, because you are the one in charge of your business without any restrictions from the sign alliance.  But with being part of a franchise system, the vision, goals and plans for your business are pretty much already set in place. With this being the case, this indicates that you will not have access to as many opportunities for your business when you are part of a franchise system.

A Sign Alliance Allows For More Diversification Within Your Sign Business, While A Franchise System Does Not Permit Diversification.

If you decide to join a sign alliance, you will be benefited with the ability to implement more diversification for your sign business. This means that you can offer different kinds of signs and services without having to get permission from the sign alliance. It is totally up to you what you want to offer within the realm of your sign business. But when you are part of a franchise system, you are not permitted to offer new and diversified products and services. You may only offer the products and the services that are permitted within the guidelines of the franchise system.

Being Part Of A Sign Alliance May Be An Opportunity To Make More Money Than Being Part Of A Franchise System.

A sign alliance does not charge any royalties on your sign business. All the money that you make from your sign business is completely yours when you are part of a sign alliance. But when you are part of a franchise system, you must pay royalties each month to the franchise system. In addition, when you are part of a sign alliance, you may be able to make more money by offering new products and services within your sign business. However, you will not have the chance to make more money with new products and services when you are part of a franchise system, as the franchise system requires all franchises to only offer the same products and services.
