In 2016, our team met with the administrators at Segerstrom High School. They requested our assistance with some wraps at Jaguar Stadium. Recently, they invited us to return to replace them with new signs and graphics for high school athletics departments in Orange County CA.
Do You Remember the Old Press Box?
Back in 2016, our first project was the press box that needed graphics. It sits atop the bleachers and is the space allocated to the broadcasters who call the game. If you looked closely, you could tell that it was a corrugated shipping container, which did not look very nice without a bit of help.
Our technicians used aluminum composite panels for the back of the box with the graphics installed on them. We could then screw them right into the container walls, which boosted the looks of the location. On the front, there were window covers that lifted during broadcasting. They looked a little unsightly when closed, so we did a similar aluminum composite panel treatment.
Fast Forward to 2021 and the Need for a Graphic Wrap Replacement
Our client liked the graphics so much that after the California sun beat them up for about five years, they asked us to come back and replace them. Five years is the average useful length of life for this product when kept in full sun. We added this project to the other one we are taking on for the school: weight room wall graphics and a bunch of perforated window graphics.
It is interesting to note that the Athletic Director at Segerstrom HS was the one who referred Santa Ana High School’s Athletic Director to Superior Signs and Graphics. From there, the Santa Ana HS Athletic Director referred the Bolsa Grande Athletic Director to us. And, to finish the six degrees of separation, the Bolsa Grande Athletic Director’s children attend Orange Lutheran High School, where he had been admiring our wall graphics without ever knowing that we were the ones who did them!
