We are spending a lot of time at Segerstrom High School this year. Earlier, we re-did the old graphic panels and their press box mounted atop the stadium bleachers. Next, we added vinyl wall graphics to the weight room. The latest projects were scoreboard and perforated window graphics in Orange County CA.
Replacing Sun-Burned Panels with Fresh Vinyl
With the other projects done, we now focused our attention on the pool scoreboard that featured vinyl panels done by another vendor. The sun had damaged them, and they lost their good looks. Besides that, our technicians installed perforated vinyl graphics on eight windows. Also, we covered two more windows with aluminum composite panels.
It is interesting to note that these were old ticketing windows that now lead into a storage room. The client wanted the windows covered and sealed against rain. The perforated vinyl went on the windows of the Athletic Director’s office and the Dance Studio. The way they are situated, they get too much direct sunlight and the graphics help to dampen it somewhat.
The other, larger, perforated window graphics are direct to the right and left of the covered ticketing windows. Because this is where spectators enter the gym for a sports event, the graphics had to be on point. Look closely, and you will notice that the mentioned features now showcase vibrant colors, crisp lettering, and a professional presentation of the school’s color palette.
What Makes Perforated Vinyl Such a Popular Choice?
We have already discussed why businesses and schools like imprinted vinyl for advertising and brand building in past blogs. However, there are also plenty of uses for perforated vinyl. This material features small perforations that allow people on one side to see out and on the other to see only the message that is imprinted.
- Perforated vehicle graphics. When we design vehicle graphics or wraps, clients often request vinyl to cover the rear windows. We have to use perforated vinyl for safety reasons. The driver can see out, but those behind the car will not see in.
- Outside-facing window wraps. Businesses also like to have perforated vinyl on their big windows when they are interfering with privacy. For example, health care offices like the sunlight that comes in, but they do not want patients to feel like they are on display when waiting for appointments. The perforated vinyl enables the clinics to advertise their services while adding privacy to their waiting rooms.
- Interior window wraps. When placing perforated vinyl on the interior, it is possible to obstruct the view inside a manager’s office while allowing this individual to have a clear picture of what is going on in the office.
