Router-Engraved Sign Panel of Vandal-Resistant, 1/2″ King ColorCore for Winder Public Library in Winder, GA
Finding the Right Sign Material for Your High Traffic Area Project
We’ve all seen it… Sign panels – – part of freshly-built stacked stone monuments – defaced by the actions of future artists. Amenities signs at apartment complexes, with colorful language added by aspiring poets and philosophers. Signs along nature trails or in parks and ball fields – – vandalized with spray paint or magic marker. So, what’s the answer? Sandblasting, power washing, sanding and repainting? Replacement of what are typically expensive signs? While it may be difficult to understand why the “artist” felt compelled to damage property that doesn’t belong to them, you should know there are options available for sign materials that make clean-up and recovery much easier, and less expensive.
The Challenge: New Monument Sign Face for the Winder Public Library
We were recently contact by the Winder Public Library. The sign face that was part of their monument sign needed to be replaced. The new sign face would need to be long-lasting, and would need to have a high degree of readability. It’d need to be easy to clean and maintain. Oh, and it’d need to be priced within their budget. For this project, we thought of one of the best-kept secrets in sign substrate materials.
