In early January 2017 Diamond Visual Communications was called by Thrive Arts Center regarding die cut printed clear vinyl that would be applied around their new facility. Diamond Visual Communications was asked to visit as soon as possible to discuss printed phrases. Thrive Arts Center provides children with an amazing opportunity to explore music and movement. Thrive has 20 years experience and offers a wide range of options allowing children to grow with fine arts explorations.

Thrive‘s new location was to open at the end of January 2017. The owners needed a source who could produce the cut vinyl quickly, in the required manner and professionally. The printing included the business name THRIVE with each letter printed in a distinct color. This was one of 9 prints that Diamond Visual Communication produced. Thrive had 6 phrases printed in charcoal gray and then two others in teal.

Thrive provided Diamond with information from their brand book. This noted the colors based upon CMYK formulations. Plus we got the appropriate vector layouts to size the letters as requested. The largest phrase width was 6.5 feet with a height of 18 inches. Our software enabled us to nest or setup phrases to print next to each thus minimizing material waste.

Our procedures involve making sure a PDF proof is always sent prior to any production run or even hard sample. After Thrive approved the PDF samples, Diamond provided samples of the charcoal gray as it came out very close to black. We wanted the customer to be aware of this. The customer viewed samples on the wall and approved the colors. Diamond will provide hard samples when asked. In this case, we wanted to see how the white wall would impact the colors. The white enhanced the look.

Diamond Visual Communications was able to apply all 9 graphics in about 2 hours. The phrases that were 5 or more feet we applied in sections. With many vinyl applications, we add transfer tape. This type of tape covers the whole print. The liner is removed to expose the adhesive then the tape is used to apply the letters. It helps align the lettering. Once the letters are in place, the transfer tape is removed. One more wipe is made and then the application is done. The following pictures show printed clear vinyl being applied plus a finished phrase.
