Located at 17701 Cowan, the Boys & Girls Clubs’ corporate offices were retrofitting the space with an eye on personal protection after COVID-19. We discussed the project’s scope with the client and got to work cutting out clear plexiglass panels with a 1/8-inch thickness.
These panels are 66” wide for the larger models and 30” wide for the smaller ones. When you look at the office space from the top, you see that each quad of desks has an X-shape consisting of individual panels. It gives the office workers protection from the people in front and right next to them.
Because we used cast acrylic, which is far more shatter and scratch-resistant than extruded acrylic, we could provide the organization with durable products that will retain their great looks for a long time to come. Moreover, it allowed us to choose the lower thickness to lighten the load we had to mount to the T-bars in the acoustic ceiling.
